Privacy Policy
Last updated: May 24, 2026
Atelier Marketing ("Atelier," "we," "our," "us") provides AI-powered marketing services to small and local businesses. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. We respect your privacy and only collect what we need to deliver our service.
1. Information we collect
From you, when you sign up
- Your name, business name, email, and phone number
- Your business address, hours, and services
- Your brand voice, language preferences, and customer audience
- Any notes or preferences you provide during onboarding
When you connect your social and business accounts
- OAuth tokens granting us "manager" or equivalent access to your Instagram, Facebook, Google Business Profile, and other platforms you choose to connect
- Public posts, reviews, and engagement data from those platforms so we can create and respond to content on your behalf
- Inbound messages and reviews from your customers, which we monitor to draft responses
When you use the dashboard
- Photos, video clips, and other media you upload
- Approvals, rejections, and edits you make to drafted content
- Standard web logs (IP address, browser, page visits) for security and product improvement
Payment information
- Billing details are processed by Stripe, our payment processor. Atelier does not store full credit card or bank account numbers on our servers.
2. How we use your information
- To research your business and generate marketing content on your behalf
- To publish posts, respond to reviews, and send SMS to your customers (after your approval, where applicable)
- To send you weekly reports, approval requests, and service notifications
- To process payments and manage your subscription
- To improve our service through aggregate, de-identified analytics
- To comply with legal obligations and respond to lawful requests
3. AI processing
Atelier uses third-party AI models (Anthropic Claude, Google Gemini, and similar) to generate marketing content. When we send your business profile or content drafts to these providers, they process it under their own enterprise agreements. We do not allow these providers to train their general models on your data.
4. Sharing your information
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only as needed to provide the service:
- Social and business platforms (Meta, Google, TikTok, Yelp) โ to publish content and respond to messages on your behalf
- Stripe โ for payment processing
- Twilio โ for sending SMS messages
- AI providers (Anthropic, Google AI, etc.) โ for content generation
- Legal compliance โ when required by law or court order
4a. SMS communications
Atelier Marketing sends SMS messages on behalf of our clients (small local businesses) to their customers, primarily for post-appointment review requests and appointment-related notifications. These messages originate from a US 10DLC phone number registered to Atelier Marketing as the messaging service provider.
How recipients consent
End customers (the recipients of our SMS) provide consent in one of these ways:
- Verbally at the time of booking or service, with the business owner confirming opt-in before adding the phone number to our send list;
- By submitting their phone number through an opt-in form on the client business's website or booking page that includes clear SMS notice; or
- By replying START to a prior opt-out.
We do not purchase, rent, or scrape phone numbers. We do not share or sell collected mobile numbers with any third party for marketing purposes. Mobile information is not shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
Frequency, charges, and opt-out
Message frequency varies by client business but typically does not exceed 4 messages per recipient per month. Message and data rates may apply per the recipient's mobile carrier. Recipients may opt out at any time by replying STOP, STOPALL, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, or QUIT. Reply HELP for assistance, or contact us at hello@ateliermarketing.net.
For full carrier participation and program terms, see our Terms of Service.
5. Data retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you cancel, we retain core business records (billing, content history) for up to 3 years for legal and tax purposes, then delete them. Uploaded media is deleted within 90 days of cancellation. You can request earlier deletion by emailing us.
6. Your rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate information
- Request deletion of your data
- Export your data in a portable format
- Opt out of marketing communications
- Disconnect any social or business account you previously authorized
To exercise any of these rights, email hello@ateliermarketing.net. We respond within 30 days.
7. Customer data on connected accounts
When you connect a social or business platform, customer data from those platforms (review text, DM contents, reviewer names) flows through Atelier so we can draft responses. We treat this data with the same care as your own data: minimum-necessary use, no sale, no retention beyond the operational window required to respond.
8. Security
We use industry-standard security practices: encrypted transit (HTTPS/TLS), encrypted storage of credentials, principle of least privilege, and regular security review. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects your data, we will notify you promptly as required by law.
9. Children's privacy
Atelier is a business-to-business service. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16.
10. International users
Atelier is operated in the United States. If you are accessing the service from outside the US, your information will be transferred to and processed in the US.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. If changes are material, we will email you and post a notice on the site. Continued use of Atelier after changes means you accept them.
